Camping Rome - Seven Hills
If you want to see all of Rome's famous sites, the Seven Hills camping area is located near the center of the city. The camping ground has various types of accommodations available, including an elevated platform for tents, bungalows, mobile homes, and apartments. There is also a bar, supermarket and even a dance club located nearby. Although the grounds seem miles away from the city, the historic city center is easy reachable by bus.
Camping Rome - Tiber Village Camping
The second suggestion is the Tiber Village Camping, located near Prima Porta along the Tiber River. There are mobile homes available and there are many facilities, such as a shuttle bus from the center, a bar/restaurant,  an internet cafe and an international call center. The owners also provide tourists with a wealth of information about what to see and do in Rome.
Camping Rome - Camping Castelfusano
If you would rather stay near the seaside, Camping Castelfusano is a good example of such a place that links together the sea and the typical camping atmosphere.  You can choose among mobile homes and quaint bungalows at 3 km from Ostia and 25 km from Rome. (The distance isn't a problem-with just one euro, you can easily get to the center of Rome or to the beaches of Ostia!)

Located in Capodimonte ( in the province of Viterbo), the camping La Perla del Lago provides an optimal place to rest and relax. Facing the Bolsena Lake, this campground is a great option if you love comfort but still don't want to miss a cultural stay.
